Health Sector

Good health is key for any Country to maximize on the potential of its citizens’ for optimal productivity for the Nation.
Within this sector, at MIF we seek to partner and significantly make a contribution towards reducing Kidney cases.

Facts about Kidney Failure
 The kidneys are the body’s filtering system. They remove toxins and excess fluid from the body. The fluid then leaves the body through urine. Each of the kidneys has more than a million tiny filters ready to cleanse the blood of waste products. Healthy kidneys therefore remove waste products, help make red blood cells and help control blood pressure and thus when one has kidney disease, the kidneys cannot perform their function well enough.
 Anyone can get kidney disease at any age but some people are more susceptible to getting it. Having diabetes, high blood pressure, a family history of chronic kidney disease and obesity can lead to it.
 Access to healthcare is very important since when the disease is not detected early, it can lead to a higher rate of kidney failure. Treatment can help slow or even stop the damage from getting worse.
