It has been observed that there are gaps in the human skills (trainees and trainers), curriculum, and technology and do not adequately address the ever changing skill and technology need for the manufacturing sector. In order to achieve the country’s Vision of becoming an industrializing nation by 2030, a strong linkage between the training institutions and the industry must be created. It is against this background that Miramar International Foundation has identified and selected as a flagship project with training of craftsmen, technologists and technicians being a priority.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is the capacity and willingness to develop, organize and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit. Miramar International Foundation helps young people decide whether entrepreneurship is right for them, how to manage successful businesses, enhancing business relationships and managing people. Through entrepreneurship, young people are able to earn a decent living and hence alleviate poverty.
The goal of the entrepreneurship programme is to encourage through skills development the growth of startups that will not only create employment but contribute to the growth of the economy. A high percentage of startups fail in the first few years of operation. Miramar International Foundation creates an enabling support system to enhance the success rate of the startups through a detailed, practical and comprehensive entrepreneurship programme.
